2024 Rates:
$700 - Full day float or wade trip (2 angler max per boat/guide)
What to expect:
We pride ourselves on providing a full service experience. On the day of your booking(s) your guide will arrive at your place of lodging or meet you at a mutually convienient location and shuttle you to the days' float. Full day float trips include lunch, non-alcoholic beverages (coke, diet coke, water) and all flies, rods, reels, tackle and everything else that you need to fish for the day. Montana fishing licenses are not included in the cost of the trip. You are more than welcome to bring alcoholic beverages on the trip, however we are not legally allowed to provide them for you. We won't charge you extra for flies or add on costs for the use of our equipment at the end of the trip.
What to bring:
You can bring as much or as little equipment as you like. All an angler really needs is a hat, sunglasses and a Montana fishing license and we can provide the rest. The sunglasses are essential to protect your eyes from hooks that can end up almost anywhere on a windy day. With a little advance notice we can provide you with rods and reels for the day, free of charge. On most days we do most of our fishing from the boat so waders are not necessary unless you specifically prefer wade fishing during your trip. If you prefer to fish your own equipment, we recommend a five to seven weight rod with a floating line. Five weights are great for small dry flies but on a windy day sometimes a six or seven weight is a big help. Some other things that people like to bring along include:
Camera - Sunscreen - Warm Jacket
Rain Jacket - Hat - Sunglasses

Montana Fishing Licenses:
Fishing licenses are required to fish in Montana. You can purchase fishing licenses in advance of the day of your trip online at [https://app.mt.gov/als/index/index.html]. If you choose to purchase your license online, make sure to select the dates that you will be fishing. You will also need to print a copy of the license or have it saved on your phone and available in case you are checked while on the water. There are also local fly shops where licenses can be purchased before or on the date of the trip. If you don't have time to get one in advance, we can stop at a fly shop before heading to the river. For Land of the Giants trips, fishing licenses are not sold at the meeting location so they should be purchased in advance. Montana fishing licenses are not required for Yellowstone National Park trips but YNP fishing permits are required and can be purchased at fly shops near the park entrance.
Deposit & Cancellation Policy:

We require a 50% deposit upon booking the trip to hold the date(s). Deposits can be paid by check or credit card. Credit card payments can be made over the phone or though the secure online store at the bottom of this page. Checks can be made out to "Hooked Outfitting" and mailed to:
Hooked Outfitting
PO Box 429

Cancellations:
Any trip canceled before 30 days of the scheduled date will be refunded the deposit in full. For trips canceled less than 30 days before the date of the trip, the deposit will be paid to the guide.
Full Payment:
The full cost of the trip must be paid on or before the date of the trip. If the trip must be cancelled within 30 days of the booked date, 50% of the cost will be refunded.
Weather:
Unfortunately we cannot refund any portion of the trip cost due to undesirable weather conditions. Rain, snow and wind are always possibilities when recreating outdoors in Montana. We do our best make the most of a day of fishing even in less than perfect conditions. Most of the best and memorable trout I have seen landed were caught during tough weather conditions.
Trip Insurance:
If you are concerned about losing all or a portion of your payment due to travel problems, weather or other circumstances, we highly recommend purchasing trip insurance.
Payment:
We accept cash, check and credit cards.

"The guides are fantastic and really know the intricacies of the river. We were six women and to be honest, some fishing guides in Montana might not be so happy about guiding a bunch of women fly fishers. These guides treated us like the experienced fly fishers we are. They work hard for you, but also enjoy themselves. Lots of fishing and laughing! I highly recommend using Hooked Outfitting. Also, let me put in a word for Garrett's business and otherwise partner Melissa Harrison, of Seasonal Montana, who is an incredibly talented chef and will not only help you find a great place to stay but, if you want, provide dinners that rival any top restaurant around. An all around fantastic time!"
